Stenungsund Municipality is an expanding coastal municipality with approximately 28,030 inhabitants, a strong business community, residential environments close to the sea, and good transport links. The municipality has a well-developed cultural and association life, as well as excellent conditions for outdoor activities and recreation. The municipality's vision is to reach 35,000 inhabitants by 2035. Stenungsund Municipality is part of the Gothenburg Region Municipal Association, which serves as a forum for cooperation and knowledge exchange, as well as several other inter-municipal collaborations.
The school consists of three units: Grades F-6, Grades 7-9, and Adapted Primary School/Resource School. Here, approximately 500 children and young people and about 120 adults meet daily throughout the school year to learn from each other, grow, and develop. The school is an intercultural and multilingual school where values-based work is kept alive in everyday life. Engaged staff work at the school, many of whom have stayed for a long time.
Kristinedal School is a single-story school centrally located in Stenungsund town, close to nature and various activities. In addition to school activities covering children and young people from preschool class to grade 9, the school also operates after-school clubs and youth clubs.

As a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), you are a qualified dialogue partner for school leadership, work teams, and individual educators in both special educational and school development matters. You drive the work regarding student health and are part of the school's Student Health Team (SHT). Together with the school leadership, you have overall responsibility for developing the quality of teaching as well as preventive and health-promoting work.
The school works clearly with student health as everyone's responsibility, with established routines for development, reflection, and systematic quality work. The school works systematically with Analysis Meetings based on knowledge and Work Meetings with teachers and professionals from the SHT based on events or individual students.
Through supervision focused on a salutogenic approach, you contribute in-depth knowledge that develops the pedagogical work in the operation. You stay updated on new special educational research and literature to share with the operation. You conduct investigations regarding the need for special support and assist in the development and follow-up of action plans. You make pedagogical interventions in the classroom for and with students, thus working at the individual, group, and unit levels.
As a person, we see that you easily create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and contribute to the student's knowledge-based and social development in an engaged manner. You are proactive, take initiative, are accustomed to leading meetings with guardians, external actors, and school staff. You express yourself well in writing and contribute significantly to the unit's systematic quality work. You are a person who wants to continue developing, with a high degree of curiosity and the attitude that problems exist only before solutions.

The position is primarily directed towards grades F-3 and the after-school club. The work is done in close collaboration with the special educational needs coordinator for grades 4-6 and the special teacher for grades F-6. During August and September, there is an opportunity for introduction by working side by side with the current special educational needs coordinator, who goes on parental leave in October.
