Description

Bjurslättsskolan is located in Kvillebäcken, near Wieselgrensplatsen in central Hisingen, in an expanding area where the old meets the new in a mixed socio-economic neighborhood around the school. The school offers preschool class, grades 1-6, special needs education, and after-school care. Approximately 650 students attend the school, and about 100 staff members work there. The school has one principal and three deputy principals responsible for different sections: grades F-3, grades 4-6, and special needs education.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher for grades F-3 who wants to further develop the operations together with other staff members. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. Together with your colleagues, you design a good, joyful, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus.

You work to continuously develop teaching based on current guidelines and the students' needs. Documenting, analyzing, planning, and following up on student results is part of your work, both individually and together with your colleagues.

The position is permanent and is a holiday cover position.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades F-3. If you have documented teaching experience, we see it as an advantage, but we also welcome those who are new to the profession. You are well-grounded in our guidelines and use a scientific approach.

You gain energy from contributing to others' learning and you create conditions for learning to take place. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You work efficiently under stress, can balance different demands, maintain calm in difficult situations, and work with low affective reactivity. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you work for a respectful work climate. You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.

To ensure that you, as a recent graduate, get the best possible start in the profession, you will participate in the School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction for newly graduated teachers. The introduction gives you, as a new graduate, a network with other new graduates and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.
