Workplace Description

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant for teaching duties and possibly work in ongoing research projects. You will work at the Department of Built Environment, Division of Installation Engineering. The Division of Installation Engineering is one of nine divisions within the department and has approximately 15 employees.

Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, your duties may vary, and the role is intended to provide insight into the academic world within the faculty where you are studying. We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to administratively coordinate and manage consultations for the course on Renovation, TFRE10, which runs throughout the autumn of 2026. The course consists of lectures given by other teachers, but the Teaching Assistant will coordinate and grade assignments. There may also be occasional other tasks related to teaching or research projects.

Qualifications

To be eligible for employment as a Teaching Assistant, you must be admitted to a basic or advanced level program at the faculty (or a related subject for joint departments). Your degree must not yet be completed.

Requirements for the position include:

• Admission to the Master's program in Energy and Environmental Efficient Buildings or the Civil Engineering program in Road and Water with a specialization in Building Installations and Technology, or equivalent education deemed relevant by the employer.
• At least 50% of the final two years of your education completed by the start of employment.
• Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Documented experience with simulations in computer programs for energy calculations and indoor climate calculations.
• Excellent teamwork skills as well as the ability to work independently.

Merits for the position include:

• Practical experience from the construction and design of buildings.

Other Information

The employment is fixed-term for the period 2026-08-31 to 2027-01-17 and covers 15% of a full-time position.
