The Role

Hermods Komvux Learning Centre is looking for a certified teacher in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Natural Science at the upper secondary level for our distance education program. The role involves conducting laboratory sessions on-site in Skurup for our adult students studying remotely in southeastern Skåne.

You will be responsible for laboratory sessions, primarily in Physics and Chemistry, but also potentially in Biology and Natural Science. The course requires students to visit the school in Skurup 1–2 times to complete practical assignments. You will be responsible for planning and conducting these labs and will collaborate closely with the distance teachers responsible for grading, ensuring students have the best possible conditions to succeed in their studies.

The work takes place on-site in Skurup, mainly during daytime hours, a few times each month. You will report directly to the Head of Education/Principal.

Profile

You are a certified and qualified teacher in the aforementioned subjects and are well-versed in school curricula and the specific requirements of adult education. We expect you to have strong digital competence and to use digital tools naturally in your teaching. You are deeply committed to student learning and utilize proven teaching strategies to guide students to their goals. Knowledge of multilingualism, language-developing methods, and adult learning theories is considered an advantage.

You are independent and comfortable working autonomously, although strong collaboration skills are required to work effectively with colleagues and other roles within the organization. You adopt a student-centered approach and are actively engaged in creating an accessible, inclusive, supportive, and stimulating educational environment for distance learning.

Other Information

This is a hourly-based position (fixed-term employment), allowing you to combine this role with other commitments. You are required to provide your own computer, headset, printer, and any other necessary equipment.
