Department of Education

The Department of Education works from a perspective covering ages 1 to 19 and includes preschools, schools, and after-school centers. Mellanvångsskolan

Mellanvångsskolan is a grades F-6 school with approximately 360 students. It is important to us that all students succeed based on their prerequisites and receive guidance and stimulation to reach as far as possible. Our educators are knowledgeable and engaged, supporting students in their learning processes so they feel included, safe, and happy. Our goal is to continuously develop our methods and knowledge so that students leave our school with good goal fulfillment and a strong value base.

Job Responsibilities

We offer a permanent position at 50%. The teaching is primarily scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

You will teach music in grades 3-6 in a three-group system with approximately 18 students in each group. Together with the teaching team, you are responsible for the students' learning and development. You plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching based on the curriculum. The teaching is based on current research and adapted to the students' prerequisites. Your duties also include organizing various events, such as school graduations and Lucia processions, in collaboration with other staff. You are also expected to participate in the school's development work and other pedagogical discussions among colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a pedagogical education with teacher certification and qualification in music.

You have experience in similar pedagogical work and are well acquainted with the school's governing documents.

You build good relationships with both students and staff and are clear in your leadership. You have a strong interest in developing music education and our creative students.
