You will have many enthusiastic colleagues! We have approximately 475 students in a dynamic grades 1-9 operation. The Öresund is just a stone's throw from the school, and we have both pine forests and green meadows within easy reach. At Högasten School, you will work in a wonderfully large music room equipped with many different instruments. Culture is very important to us, and practical-esthetic subjects are prioritized, giving you the opportunity to work with small groups. You work in a team, but you also have subject colleagues. We have three teachers who teach music. Together, you form a strong team.

Job Description

You will teach music in grades 7-9. Together with your colleagues, you will do everything for the student's best interest, which requires patience, sensitivity, and enthusiasm. As a teacher with us, you will plan and evaluate teaching in consultation with both colleagues and students. You will work primarily with the well-knit team of the lower secondary school, where you will face challenges and experience growth. The conditions for collaboration and mutual inspiration are, in other words, good. Of course, you will also have contact with the students' guardians in various ways. Clear and transparent communication fosters good relationships, and good relationships are important to us; both internally and externally.

We assume that your teaching is both serious and joyfully exciting. If you are interested in developing the use of ICT in your subjects, you have great opportunities in cooperation with our helpful ICT pedagog who we share with the other schools in the school area. Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications in music.

We consider professional experience outside the school world to be significant. Life experience is always useful. Leadership experience in various forms and contexts is naturally good, as the teaching profession largely consists of leading and inspiring.

As a person, you are open and communicative in relation to students, colleagues, and parents. You want to develop together with those you are responsible for. As a teacher, it is important that you are able to meet and inspire students in the exciting work that being a teacher entails. If you can handle this task, you are cut out for us.
