Örkened School is looking for an engaged teacher assistant who wants to contribute to giving our young people the best possible conditions to succeed in their studies and personal development.

As a teacher assistant, you will become an important part of the school's daily routine. You work closely with students and staff to create structure, support, and security in teaching and on the school's common areas.

As a teacher assistant in Osby Municipality, you work in the school to support both teachers and students. The role may vary slightly depending on the school's needs, but usually involves:

• Providing support to students by helping them understand instructions, get started, assisting with concentration difficulties, or providing language support.
• Support can take place in the classroom, individually, in groups, as well as during breaks or mealtimes.
• Relieving/supporting the teacher by preparing materials, preparing the classroom, sorting, and organizing. Simpler documentation may also be part of the job.
• You help with practical tasks in the classroom, during group work, or other activities, and help maintain order and structure so the teacher can focus more on teaching.
• You work to create a sense of security by being a stable adult who creates calm and security in the classroom, supporting students in social situations, e.g., during breaks and conflicts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have education as a teacher assistant or other competencies that can be assessed as equivalent. You have experience working with conflict management and older students in primary school, and you meet students with a professional and solution-oriented approach.

There is an opportunity to combine the work with being a part-time firefighter. Assessment is made based on the operational needs.
