1 position(s).
Responsibilities
In the role of special educator, you will be a natural part of the daily work at the school. You will collaborate with teachers regarding extra adaptations and special support, contribute to mapping and analyses, and follow up on interventions at both individual, group, and organizational levels. You are expected to be confident and secure in conducting pedagogical assessments, writing action plans, and applying for extraordinary support. The assignment also includes planning and implementing targeted interventions with students, both at the individual level and in groups, based on identified needs. An important part of the work is to mentor and support colleagues in creating accessible learning environments where more students are given the opportunity to succeed in their education. You are also an active part of the student health team, where your competence becomes an important piece in the joint work for the students' development and well-being.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree in special education and who see the value in working together with others. You have a relational and solution-focused approach and feel secure in your profession. You have the ability to analyze and see connections between teaching, learning environment, and the student's needs, and you are eager to contribute both to the close work in the classroom and to the school's more long-term development work.
With us, you get to work in a context where your competence is utilized and where you do not stand alone in your assignment. You meet a collegium that wants to develop together and a school leadership that is present and works close to the operations. We offer a workplace where student health, teaching, and leadership are interconnected, and where we believe in the power of doing things together.
If you recognize yourself in the description and want to contribute to an equal and accessible school for all students, you are warmly welcome to submit your application. We look forward to getting to know you and telling you more about how we can make a difference together at Varagårdsskolan.
