Tollarp School is a municipal F-9 school that also operates a leisure-time center for grades F-6. The school has approximately 440 students in age-homogeneous classes. These classes are divided into two tracks, A and B. Associated with the operations are three work teams divided into F-3, 4-6, and 7-9. There is also a work team dedicated to student health services (EHT).

Your role with us

As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take personal responsibility. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both inside and outside the classroom.

The teaching is designed based on the goals of the curriculum, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important pillars. You have positive and high expectations of the students and adapt the teaching to the level of all students, with a focus on the student's best interests.

Through dialogue, you build good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you stay up to date with events in the outside world and the daily lives of young people. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. You systematically reflect on practical work and, together with colleagues, drive development work in the work group/school. You also share responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.

If you are new as a teacher, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work. If you are an unqualified teacher, you may conduct teaching but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading lies with a certified teacher.

Who are we looking for?

We are primarily looking for you with a teaching license qualified to teach grades 4-6 in the subjects Math (Ma), English (En), Swedish (Sv), Natural Sciences (No), and Technology (Te) in primary school. Secondarily, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at the university level in the aforementioned subjects. It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education at the university level. We want you to have experience working in schools as a qualified or unqualified teacher and have worked with children/young people aged 9-13.

You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's prerequisites, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, calm working atmosphere, and a desire to learn. We would like you to have a good ability to teach children in need of special support and the ability to support students in handling conflicts that arise. You have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the outside world.

A success factor is that you can build trusting relationships both in and outside of school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the work group's methods for continuous development.

Naturally, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure the work based on stated goals.

As a person, you are communicative, receptive, and well-versed, and you live up to the ethical principles for teachers and have a talent for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.

To allow us to assess your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching license. If there are no qualified certified teachers, you as an unqualified person can be employed for a limited time according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, it is required that you show an extract from the police criminal record so that we can employ you, according to provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
