Do you want to work closely with students and contribute to a safe and inclusive school environment? At Stordammen, you will become part of an engaged student health team where you work both preventively and supportively together with other professionals.

What we offer

With us, you will have a meaningful assignment where you contribute daily to the well-being and development of the students. You work in close collaboration with the school's student health team and school social team, as well as in cooperation with external actors. We offer a varied role where you work both individually and preventively at the group level.

About the assignment

As a school counselor, you primarily work with students in grades 6–9. You play an important role in the school's student health work and engage in promoting, preventing, and remedial efforts.

The assignment includes:

• having conversations with students, guardians, and staff
• working with support measures at the individual and group levels
• participating in the Student Health Team (SHT) and the school social team
• cooperating with external actors and participating in SSPF
• working with themes in classes related to student health
• documenting and making reports to social services, police, and the governing body
• handling absence cases for grades 6-9
• responsible for updating the school's safety plan

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• is a licensed social worker

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience in similar work
• experience working within social services

About the workplace

Stordammen is located in a beautiful natural setting in Sävja, approximately 9 km from central Uppsala. The school has approximately 685 students and 80 employees. We are an Erasmus school and collaborate with schools in Europe. The work takes place on-site during daytime hours.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
