We work closely with foster families, social services, and placed children with the goal of creating long-term and sustainable placements.

We are now looking for a part-time foster home consultant in Uppsala Municipality who wants to complement our team and contribute to our important mission.

About the role

As a foster home consultant, you work closely with our foster families and serve as a key support for both the families and the placed children. This position is ideal for you if you are looking for a flexible part-time job and want to use your skills to create security and good conditions for children and young people.

The role offers significant freedom under responsibility, and you will largely plan your work independently. You will work from home.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• Guide and support foster families through regular visits and continuous contact.
• Act as a contact person/consultant for a number of foster families and ensure they receive the support needed for their assignments.
• Participate in start-up meetings, follow-up meetings, network meetings, and SIP meetings together with social services and foster families.
• Write monthly reports, documentation, and implementation plans.
• Monitor placements and contribute to ensuring high quality in our interventions.
• Be available for advice and support when needed.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a degree in Social Work (Social Worker).
• Has experience working with children and young people within social services.
• It is an advantage if you have worked as a foster home consultant, social secretary, foster home investigator, or in other operations concerning placed children and young people.
• Have good knowledge of social services' work, legislation, and guidelines.
• Are secure, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Have good collaboration skills and are accustomed to meeting different people and professions.
• Have very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
• Have a B-class driver's license and access to a car.
