RESPONSIBILITIES

Day activity centers are a support measure for adults who are entitled to the measure according to the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments).

As a support assistant with us, you work to support the client in their daily life. We tailor tasks to meet the client's interests and needs. We support and motivate the client in activities and tasks. A large part of the job involves creating and maintaining a good and close relationship with the client and working to ensure they have a meaningful occupation. You work together with your colleagues with a respectful and individualized approach in all situations. At the workplace, you have significant responsibility and good opportunities to influence.

We are now expanding our café operations, where the work involves supporting and guiding our clients in all aspects of the café.

Concrete responsibilities include:

• Baking and preparing simple pastries and sandwiches.
• Managing café service by serving guests and keeping the café premises tidy.
• Handling the cash register by providing support with payments and the use of the cash/card terminal.
• Maintaining hygiene and cleaning by following routines for food hygiene, dishwashing, and kitchen cleaning.
• Planning purchases and ordering goods for the café.
• Pedagogical support: Using visual aids, clear pedagogy, and checklists to make work tasks understandable and independent.
• Documentation: Conducting social documentation according to current legislation and writing implementation plans and associated activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant upper secondary education, for example from the Child and Youth Program or the Health and Care Program.
• Experience working within LSS (support and service for persons with certain functional impairments).
• Interest and experience in café and food operations.
• Knowledge and experience working with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
• Good computer skills and the ability to express yourself in writing. Documentation is a large part of the job.
• Category B driver's license and access to a private car.
