Our Operations
Habiliteringen in Uppsala County belongs to the Department of Primary Care and Health in Region Uppsala and has for many years been a "leading habilitation service." We are a specialized operation with our expertise in intellectual disability, autism, and various forms of congenital motor disabilities, addressing children, young people, and adults with disabilities. We work to create conditions for independence and an active life through developmental, supportive, and compensatory interventions. Our cross-professional teams are located in Uppsala, Enköping, Tierp, and Östhammar.
The operations are characterized by development and evidence-based working methods, and you will receive stimulating and varied work. Competence development and experience exchange occur continuously within habilitation's own operations. Each profession also has regular meetings to ensure equal competence across the county's different units. Within the department, there is a Research and Development Division, aimed at stimulating and supporting development work.
The unit in Enköping addresses both children, young people, and adults in Enköping and Håbo municipalities and all disability groups. We consist of 24 employees with the professions of social worker, physiotherapist, psychologist, speech therapist, administrator, occupational therapist, special educator, and team leader. In addition, we have access to dietitians, nurses, and doctors. Our different competencies make us versatile and flexible.
Your Assignment
We offer meaningful work with complex and developmental patient cases. We work in cross-professional teams, and you will work both independently and together with competent colleagues and within the team.
You will work with children up to 18 years old and their closest relatives. The psychosocial treatment work includes both individual contacts and interventions at the group level, such as diagnostic knowledge. Important tasks include providing initial information and conducting assessments during new visits, as well as providing support, information, and education to relatives and networks. The assignment also includes collaborating with other operations within the region and municipalities, as well as society at large. The work is varied and stimulating.
Regular working hours are weekdays 8:00–16:30, flexible agreements apply, and there is partial possibility for remote work.
Your Competence
We are looking for you with a degree in social work and preferably with additional education in psychosocial treatment work. Experience working with people with disabilities is meritorious.
You base your work on the patient's needs and involve the patient and their network in the work. You work efficiently with others and see teamwork as an asset to your profession. You naturally take personal responsibility for your work, document in the electronic patient journal, have the ability to prioritize your tasks, and can quickly adapt to changed conditions. You independently plan your calendar based on a holistic view of the operations and in collaboration with colleagues. You also have an interest in creating new working methods together with others and see digital solutions as natural opportunities in your work.
To thrive and succeed in the work with us, you also need to be unpretentious both in absorbing knowledge and experiences and in sharing your knowledge and experiences with colleagues. As a person, you are clear in your communication and structured in your working methods. You have good pedagogical skills and can easily establish contact with patients, relatives, and colleagues. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
