Description of Duties

The central duties include providing counseling support, conducting investigations, and working with students who have high rates of absenteeism. The counselor plays a central role in the school's student health work and should, to the greatest extent possible, work preventively.

Qualifications

We are looking for a counselor with a degree in social work (socionom) or behavioral science. You have previous experience working as a counselor.

You collaborate well with others and relate to your surroundings in a listening and flexible manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. As a person, you are outgoing and socially active in your work. You find it easy to establish contact with students, guardians, and colleagues.

In your work, you see the big picture and take the broader perspective into account. You understand your role but always consider the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
