Statens institutionsstyrelse (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people and adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse problems across the country. SiS LVM Home Östfora in Järlåsa, northwest of Uppsala, receives men with alcohol, drug, or polydrug abuse, combined with mental health issues. We have special competence in medical nursing and are tasked with providing care for clients with specific care needs.

Job Description

As a Treatment Secretary, you are responsible, among other things, for the treatment planning of our clients. You create treatment plans and plan treatment interventions based on each client's individual prerequisites. You follow up on planned and implemented interventions and have continuous follow-up with our clients and their respective social services. Furthermore, you support and guide the treatment staff in their important work and collaborate with the rest of the staff team. Your teamwork contributes to our clients receiving the security, care, and treatment they need.

Documentation is an important part of our work as it contributes to legal certainty, planning, and follow-up. In your role as Treatment Secretary, you are responsible for ensuring that documentation is carried out in accordance with current guidelines. You are also responsible for ensuring that relevant information about the clients reaches the staff at the institution. In your role, you also collaborate with authorities and other external contacts.

A working day with us includes everything from supportive conversations to acute interventions - always with the client's best interest in focus.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:30. Flexibility options are available.

Qualifications

To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of humanity. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and you share SiS value base, to be a place for change. You have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our clients. As a person, you are secure in yourself and have an easy time creating good treatment relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and you can handle conflicts in a constructive way.

You must also have:

  • A university education with a social science and/or behavioral science focus, at least 180 credits, for example, a social worker or other training assessed as equivalent by the employer.
  • Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing.
  • Valid B driver's license and access to a car.

Advantageous is experience of working within addiction care and documented experience of having worked in a collaborative role.

Employment:

The positions are vacancies with entry according to agreement until 2026-12-31 and according to agreement until 2027-05-31, both with the possibility of extension. Entry according to agreement.
