Tunabergsskolan is a primary school with 570 students in grades 6–9. We have high results and work systematically to develop our operations.

Description of Duties

The role involves being an additional adult presence for the students at the school. You will act as a voice for the students, help them get to lessons, and provide pedagogical and social support. You contribute to the student's development towards their goals and serve as a role model in social interaction. You will have conversations with students both individually and in groups as part of preventive value-based work. Contact and collaboration with guardians are included. Together with a colleague, you will investigate bullying cases and incidents at the school. You will work closely with our students throughout the school day, with much of the work taking place in the school corridors. You will also staff a study room to assist students there.

The assignment also includes:

• Being a voice for the students, being the safe adult, and building relationships.
• Acting as a flexible resource in operations (helping other students get to lessons, participating in support activities).
• Investigating bullying cases at the school in consultation with the school counselor.
• Performing a school caretaker role during breaks.
• Investigating incidents that occur at the school.
• Staffing and assisting students in the study room.
• Participating in homework help, retake exams, and study workshops.
• Leading value-based work at the school.
• Working with holiday school during breaks and being part of the caretaking/administration team during holiday periods.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a social pedagogy degree or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. You should have experience working in primary schools and in planning and leading groups in various activities. It is also important that you have skills in conflict management. A requirement is that you have experience working with students with psychosocial challenges and neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD).

As a person, you take initiative in activities to achieve results. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and see opportunities in change. Furthermore, you are an outgoing and socially active person with good collaboration skills, relating to others in a listening and flexible manner.
