About You

We are looking for you who are a calm, secure, and empathetic person with the ability to create structure and predictability in everyday life. You have a respectful attitude and can meet people with patience, understanding, and sensitivity.

You need to have a good understanding of mental ill-health and feel secure in meeting people who may periodically experience anxiety, depression, or difficulties coping with stress and changes. You have the ability to remain calm even when emotions or situations become challenging, and you work in a way that promotes security and participation.

Experience with low-arousal approaches, psychiatry, or personal assistance is meritorious.

For communication to work well, you need to speak and understand Swedish without difficulty. There are several cats in the home, so you need to be comfortable with animals and not be allergic.

About the Assignment

You will be working with a woman in her 50s who has a great interest in her cats and appreciates calm, security, and continuity in everyday life.

The woman is wheelchair-bound and needs support in several parts of daily life. The tasks include, among other things:

  • Mobility and physical assistance
  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Support during meals and household chores
  • Accompanying to activities and appointments
  • Practical support at home
  • Motivating and security-building support in daily life

In addition to physical support needs, there is mental ill-health that affects daily life. This means that as an assistant, you need to be able to contribute with structure, calm, and security, as well as help reduce stress and create conditions for a functioning daily life. On some days, the need for emotional support and presence may be greater than on others.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability, the ability to build trust, and the ability to work long-term and build relationships.
