About us:
HVB Haga in Harbo is looking for more social pedagogues and treatment assistants to join our fantastic team.
The home has 7 places, and the target group consists of girls aged 13–18 with mental health issues and psychosocial problems, alternatively early-stage addiction issues, or young people living in a conflict-ridden or otherwise unsatisfactory home situation.
Our approach:
Together, we work based on all of the young person's need areas according to BBIC – from assessment and treatment to discharge and aftercare. We actively strive to create a safe environment for development, change, and the path to an independent life. We also have a clear focus on diet, health, and exercise.
Working with us:
Experience with our target group is a prerequisite for success in the role.
It is important that you are self-assured and have a good ability to provide care and build good relationships. You will also be assigned as a contact person, which involves conducting weekly conversations with the young person. Part of your role as a contact person includes drawing up relevant implementation plans in collaboration with the placed young person and the commissioning authority. Documentation in our journal system is also part of the job.
Working at our treatment home means we help each other with everything that comes up in a household: we clean together, do laundry, cook, and bake. We take care of our garden to keep it welcoming and maintain our vehicles to ensure they are in good condition. We support each other within the staff group, and teamwork is essential in our operations.
Your qualifications:
We are looking for you who have at least a degree from a two-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or university college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work, or a degree from a university with a corresponding focus. You should have good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of low-affective interaction methods.
Please note that you need to complete a validation course to work at an HVB after July 1, 2025, unless you have a post-secondary vocational education equivalent to two years of study.
The Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's competence goals for HVB can be found on their website.
Having a category B driver's license (manual transmission is an advantage) and a clean criminal record is an absolute requirement.
Experience in treatment work and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
The position is a fixed-term contract for up to one year, but there is a possibility of extension and permanent employment for the right candidate.
