Personal Assistant Wanted for Man in Uppsala – Two Positions, 35 Hours/Week

We are now looking for two dedicated and reliable personal assistants for a man in his 30s or 40s living in Uppsala.

The client has autism, intellectual disability (ID), and ADHD, and needs support and assistance around the clock. He has a great need for structure, clarity, and predictability in his daily life. Therefore, we are looking for you who are calm, secure, and responsible.

When the client feels safe, he is a happy, social, and communicative person with many interests. Among other things, he enjoys video games, fishing, tinkering and carpentry, bowling, attending floorball matches, and watching various TV series.

About the Position

As a personal assistant, you help the client achieve a safe, functional, and meaningful daily life. An important part of the job is accompanying him to his day program and providing motivating and pedagogical support in various daily situations.

The duties include, among other things:

• Support in following daily routines and planning
• Motivating support regarding personal hygiene and self-care
• Support during meals
• Medication management
• Support during leisure and social activities
• Pedagogical support and guidance in everyday life
• Accompanying to day program

Working Hours

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and every third weekend according to a rotating schedule. Night shifts may occur as needed. For those who wish to work more, there are great opportunities to take extra shifts beyond the main position.

We are looking for you who

• Have a genuine interest in working with people
• Have experience with autism, ADHD, and intellectual disability
• Have experience working as a personal assistant or within care services

Requirements

• Good Swedish language skills (written and spoken)
• Valid B driver's license
• Non-smoker
