Student? Work as a personal assistant – we match you with the right user!

For several of our young people and young adults, we are looking for you who plan to take a study break or want a part-time job alongside your studies. You who want to work for a longer period before starting your studies are also welcome to apply.

In the role of a personal assistant, the personal chemistry between the assistant and the user is important. Therefore, we put significant effort into matching you with the right user!

In most cases, you do not need prior experience working as a personal assistant, but it is important that you are genuinely interested in working with people and that you are flexible, reliable, and empathetic. To thrive in this challenge, it is also a prerequisite that you are creative and can take initiative. Equally important is that you can step back and let the user take center stage in interactions with family and friends.

Here, you will work with young people who need support to live an active life on their own terms. The tasks vary among different users but may include helping with various types of training at home or at the gym, leisure activities, studies, and work. Traveling together with the user may occur. Many of our young people have extensive care needs, which may include tube feeding, medication, transfers between assistive devices, support with communication, and personal care – tasks that require a high degree of responsibility.

Working hours vary based on customer needs and can be scheduled during the day, afternoon/evening, active night, as well as nights with sleeping on-call, weekdays, and weekends. Please specify in your application which times you are interested in working and to what extent. We also want to know why you want to work as a personal assistant!

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a permanent residence permit in Sweden to be employed by Särnmark.
