The role of residential assistant at Inagården is largely a practical environmental therapeutic position. Key responsibilities include working towards established treatment goals, documentation, active listening, and providing support to residents through professional interaction. You will assist residents with daily tasks to establish a healthy daily routine and motivate them to participate in various activities, such as outdoor excursions, exercise, visits to the swimming pool, cooking, and daily occupations.

Our Approach

At Inagården HVB, we work from a relational and environmental therapeutic perspective where relationships, safety, and participation are central. We use everyday situations as tools for learning and development, focusing on creating stability, self-awareness, and new strategies for each individual.

In our work, we utilize clear pedagogy and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), meaning we adapt the environment, routines, and communication to suit each person's needs. Through clarity, structure, and individual support, we create predictability and safety – which is particularly important for individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities.

We also work with the concept of an Independent Life (ESL), which strengthens residents' knowledge and skills to increase their independence in daily life.

A low-affective approach permeates the entire operation. By meeting individuals with calmness, respect, and understanding, we create safety even in challenging situations and provide space for recovery and reflection.
