Do you want meaningful tasks where, together with colleagues, you contribute to ensuring that children and families receive the right support at the right time? We are looking for a social worker for the Reception Unit for Children and Families in Heby.

The Role

We are now looking for you who want to be both the face of the initial meeting with social services and a guide for those who primarily do not need social services' official decisions to receive the help and support they need.

• You are part of the unit's reception and lead and structure the work with reports and applications that come in.
• You conduct safety assessments and preliminary assessments and propose decisions on whether to start an investigation or not.
• You write limited decision support documents and, at the request of other authorities, provide opinions on specific issues.
• You have daily cooperation with both colleagues and team leaders.

We want you to:

• Have a degree in social work and a few years of experience in social services' official authority work with children, young people, and families.
• Enjoy working both independently and in a team.
• Be confident in case handling and assessment and dare to independently propose decisions that are then made according to delegation.
• Have the ability to feel into and meet people where they are and be flexible in your meetings, both physical meetings and phone calls.
• Not be unfamiliar with meeting children and adults in crisis and can handle different types of situations.
• Have good knowledge of society's various functions and thus the ability to refer people to the right place to get help.
• Have good knowledge of the Swedish language and find it easy to express yourself both orally and in writing.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Since the position involves work with children, an extract from the criminal record will be requested upon potential employment. As the work involves travel, a B-driver's license is a requirement.
