Do you want to work with human rights in practice?
Vivant Omsorg is looking for a residential support worker for a close-to-individual assignment within the LSS (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). This is not a standard care assignment where you "go through the motions." We are looking for you who want to work closely with a person who has extensive needs for clarity, predictability, privacy, and respect.
With us, the work is about making human rights possible in everyday life. This means that every effort, every conversation, and every meeting must be carried out with care, precision, and respect for the individual's self-determination.
About the assignment
You will work as a residential support worker in an LSS residence where the support needs to be very clear, structured, and adapted to the individual.
The work involves, among other things, providing support in daily tasks, creating safety and predictability, following implementation plans and routines, and contributing to the individual having a functional daily life without having to bear the responsibility of organizing the support themselves.
This can include support with daily structure, meals, planning, medical visits, activities, cleaning, laundry, communication, rest, and safety at home.
We are looking for you who
We are looking for someone who is secure, calm, and meticulous. You need to be able to read instructions, understand them, and follow them in practice.
You need to be strong in the Swedish language, both in speech and writing. This is important because clear communication, documentation, and the ability to understand written routines are central to the assignment.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS ARE THAT YOU
- have good Swedish skills in speech and writing
- are stable, calm, and respectful even in difficult situations
- have the ability to work according to plans and instructions
- understand the importance of privacy and self-determination
We would like you to:
- be responsive without becoming insecure
- be able to provide support without taking over
- be able to be professional, warm, and clear at the same time
- understand that small details can be crucial for safety
- have an interest in LSS, human rights, and individualized care
Experience with LSS, psychiatry, autism, PTSD, or low-affective handling is meritorious but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have the right personality, the right language skills, and the right willingness to learn the job thoroughly.
A nursing assistant education is a big plus.
Job Responsibilities
As a residential support worker, you will, among other things:
- provide support in daily routines
- follow implementation plans, schedules, and instructions
- document according to the organization's routines
- provide support during activities, cases, and healthcare contacts
- contribute to safety and predictability
- work with a low-affective and respectful approach
- support without pressuring
- collaborate with colleagues and management
- be attentive to risks, changed well-being, and the need for adaptation
We offer
A meaningful job where you get to be part of creating a real difference in a person's daily life.
You will receive introduction, supervision, and clear instructions. We work in a structured way and follow up on the work continuously, as the assignment requires the staff group to work in a uniform and well-thought-out manner.
At Vivant, we work with the starting point that human rights should function in practice, even when life is difficult, complex, and requires more from the surroundings.
