Do you have a commitment to working with people with disabilities within the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and wish to combine pedagogical work with creative operational development? Then you could be one of the employees we are looking for in our day center!

Natur och Service offers day center activities according to the LSS Act for over 200 participants distributed across approximately 25 activities. Our mission is to create a meaningful and developmental daily life where participants have the opportunity to break away from their home environment and participate in activities based on their own prerequisites and needs.

We are now looking for a support assistant for the "Leverera mera" (Deliver More) activity at Kronparksgården, where participants have significant support needs. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the work group to support participants in their daily occupations. We offer activities such as walks, gymnastics, music, crafts, simple transport tasks, and excursions. Communication is adapted to the individual's prerequisites, for example through speech, picture support, sign language, or other augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) aids. To work with us, you must be interested and responsive to our users' needs and have a strong commitment to creating a good day for them together with the rest of the staff!

This is a full-time position, and working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday.

Description of duties

As a support assistant here, you work with people who have physical or mental disabilities. You provide individual support and services according to the LSS Act and work based on decisions on assistance, implementation plans, and the operation's governing documents. You work with a low-affective approach and contribute to structure, participation, and security in daily life.

Your duties include:

• planning and carrying out activities, both individually and in groups
• providing support during meals and toilet visits as needed
• actively participating in the participants' daily occupations
• collaborating with colleagues to create a secure and structured daily life
• driving cars and minibuses for transports and excursions
• documenting according to current legal requirements in Lifecare
• contributing to the development of the operation together with colleagues and management

The goal of the work is to create conditions for participants to live as independent and meaningful a life as possible.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have completed upper secondary education, preferably from the care and nursing program or the child and youth program. You have experience working with people with disabilities, preferably within LSS or day center activities.

You have practical experience working with a low-affective approach.

For this position, you must have a Category B driver's license (manual transmission) and feel confident driving larger vehicles in city traffic. You also have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have post-secondary education in areas such as pedagogy, behavioral science, or other relevant fields.

As a person, you are self-reliant and take responsibility for your tasks by planning, structuring, and driving the work forward. You are creative and ready to take significant responsibility for the development of the operation. Furthermore, you are stable and maintain your composure in stressful situations, with the ability to prioritize and make thoughtful decisions. You are good at building good relationships and enjoy working together with others. To succeed in the role, you have good pedagogical skills and can adapt your communication style based on the individual's needs and prerequisites.
