About us:

HVB Haga in Harbo is looking for more social pedagogues and treatment assistants to join our fantastic team.

Please note that this advertisement is for temporary employment/hourly contracts. If you are interested in a permanent position, please see the other advertisement (advertisements are posted continuously).

The home has 7 places, and the target group consists of girls aged 13–18 with mental health issues and psychosocial problems, or those with emerging substance abuse issues, or young people living in a conflict-ridden or otherwise unsatisfactory home situation.

Our approach:

We work together based on all the young person's areas of need according to BBIC – from assessment and treatment to discharge and aftercare. We actively strive to create a safe environment for development, change, and the path to an independent life. We also have a clear focus on diet, health, and exercise.

Working with us:

Experience with the target group is a prerequisite for success in the role.

It is important that you are self-assured and have a good ability to provide care and build good relationships. You will also serve as a contact person, which means you will conduct weekly conversations together with the young person. Part of your role as a contact person is to prepare relevant implementation plans in collaboration with the placed individual and the commissioning authority. Documentation in our journal system is also part of the job.

Working at our treatment home means we help each other with everything that happens in a home; we clean together, do laundry, cook, and bake. We take care of our garden to make it welcoming and maintain our cars so they are in good condition. We support each other within the staff group, and team spirit is essential in our operations.

Your qualifications:

We are looking for you who have at least a degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work, or a university degree with a corresponding focus. You must have good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, and possess good knowledge of low-affective interaction methods.

Please note that you need to complete a validation course to work at an HVB facility after July 1, 2025, unless you have a post-secondary vocational education equivalent to 2 years of study.

The Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's competence goals for HVB can be found on their website.

Having a Category B driver's license (manual transmission is a plus) and a clean criminal record is an absolute requirement.

Experience in treatment work and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is a plus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The operations have a collective agreement via Vårdföretagarna.
