About the position

Personal assistance is a support measure under the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired Persons). As a personal assistant, your main task will be to help the customer with whatever arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves protecting the customer's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the customer's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

The customer is a woman in her 30s living in Lidköping. The customer's individual needs dictate the workday, and tasks may include help with mobility, personal care, training, communication, as well as household chores and activities both inside and outside the home. The customer uses a non-verbal language, meaning your ability to be attentive and present is crucial. A dog may visit the home occasionally.

Who are you?

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the customer. You need to be calm, present, and flexible, as well as have a good ability to set clear but gentle boundaries. Since the work involves physical tasks, you need to be physically fit. The job also requires you to be completely smoke-free during working hours.

Requirements for the position:

• Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, to ensure safe communication, documentation, and handling of daily routines

• Tolerance for fur-bearing animals (dog)

• Previous experience working in care and/or social services

• Calm, secure, and attentive in your work

Merits for the position:

• Education in care and/or social services

• Experience working with people who use a non-verbal language

• Experience with low-affective interaction

• Valid Category B driver's license and access to a personal car

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment percentage, and salary

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment percentage of approximately 70% (on average 28 hours per week) plus waiting time. Working hours are scheduled according to a rolling 4-week schedule with 24-hour shifts (09:00-09:00). The shifts include waiting time scheduled between 22:00-05:50.

The schedule is structured as follows: Week 1: Monday, Week 2: Wednesday and Saturday, Week 3: Wednesday and Saturday, Week 4: Monday and Wednesday.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement in consultation with Humana's salary policy, and other compensations are made according to collective agreements.

Start date

The desired start date is 2026-08-10, starting on the schedule row for week 3. The introduction includes two day shifts and two evening shifts. The introduction can begin as soon as possible or be conducted during week 33, as it is very important to us that you feel completely secure in your assignment before starting the schedule.
