About the Workplace

The headquarters of Education Gävle is called the School Office and is centrally located in Gävle, right next to Gävle Theatre and the linden trees at Rådhusesplanaden. Here work accountants, HR personnel, communicators, and administrators, to name a few. It is a workplace characterized by collaboration and joy in work, and the coffee machines in Café Kantorn are a great place for casual chats. Responsibilities

As an investigator within Education Gävle, you work with qualified investigative assignments that support the development of the operations and ensure legally secure case processing. The role involves close collaboration with managers, case handlers, and other functions within the sector.

You will play a key role in analyzing, developing, and quality-assuring processes, as well as producing governing documents that support the operations in daily work.

In the role of investigator, you will among other things:

  • Conduct investigations and prepare decision support materials for the board.
  • Investigate and analyze case processing processes within the operational area.
  • Identify development needs and propose improvement measures.
  • Develop, implement, and follow up on guidelines, routines, and work processes.
  • Ensure that case handling and processes comply with current legislation and governing documents.
  • Support the operations in matters concerning investigation, steering, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with different functions within the administration and, if necessary, with external actors.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A law degree, a degree in political science, or another higher education qualification that the employer considers equivalent.
  • Experience in qualified investigative work.
  • Good ability to analyze complex information and translate it into clear decision support materials.
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.

Merits for the position include:

  • Experience working in public operations or agencies.
  • Knowledge of municipal administration and board processes.
  • Experience with process mapping and operational development.
  • Experience in producing governing documents such as guidelines, routines, and process descriptions.
  • Experience working with data-driven development.

To succeed in the role, you have:

  • The ability to write clearly and well-structured, adapting your texts to the intended target audience.
  • An ability to build trust in your professional relationships. You take initiative in social contexts.
  • An ability to see what needs to be prioritized, is efficient, and uses resources to achieve results in the best way possible.
  • A non-hierarchical approach in your collaboration with colleagues, citizens, and various actors.
  • A way of formulating yourself clearly and concretely. You adapt your language in both speech and writing based on the recipient.

Employment Terms

Interviews will take place on an ongoing basis.

Employment type: Permanent.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-09-01 or by agreement.
Working hours: Daytime.
