Description

Ljusdal Municipality in beautiful Hälsingland is now looking for an engaged Accountant to join our accounting team! Here you will have the opportunity to work in a scenic and active municipality, close to both forests and lakes, where we value a sustainable and vibrant living environment. In this role, you will collaborate with our controllers to support operations with financial monitoring, ongoing bookkeeping, and system administration, together with the rest of the accounting team.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for analysis and financial monitoring at the unit level, ensuring that reporting is accurate and up-to-date. Handling accounts payable is also part of your duties, which involves registering invoices, performing reconciliations, and managing supplier payments to ensure an efficient and correct process. The role also includes support and system administration in our accounting system, Raindance, where you are responsible for granting users the correct permissions and providing technical support when needed. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure that financial routines are followed and to contribute to the development and improvement of processes within finance and administration. Additionally, you will participate in budgeting and forecasting work and provide input for monthly and quarterly closing.

Qualifications

We look for you to have education in the field of economics or equivalent work experience that the employer deems comparable. It is important that you have good skills in Excel and other Office programs, as these are used frequently for analysis, reporting, and creating presentation materials. As a person, you are structured, meticulous, and solution-oriented. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, as we are looking for someone who appreciates order and structure and takes initiative in their work.

It is an advantage if you have:

Post-secondary education in economics, for example from a University College or university, which gives you a strengthened competence base. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have experience with accounting systems in a public sector environment such as Raindance, Stratsys, PowerBI, or similar systems, which allows you to get into the role faster and contribute directly. Experience working with finance in a public sector environment is also an advantage as it gives you an understanding of the specific requirements and regulations that apply within our sector.
