The Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV) is Sweden's authority for intellectual property rights, responsible for patents, trademarks, and designs. We examine and register rights and work to increase knowledge about intellectual assets and their importance for innovation and business. Our mission is to contribute to Sweden's growth and competitiveness by helping companies, innovators, and organizations protect and develop their ideas. We are also the supervisory authority for collective management of copyright and operate in close cooperation with both national and international actors. PRV has approximately 300 employees and operations in Stockholm and Söderhamn, with competencies ranging from engineers and lawyers to IT specialists.

We are looking for a qualified accountant, primarily within daily accounting, closing, annual reporting, and reporting to the state. The finance unit also handles customer, supplier, and asset processes, as well as some payroll-related tasks, payment of public law fees, and controlling issues.
Responsibilities
You are expected to work broadly within the accounting process, follow our internal guidelines and decisions, and take into account laws and regulations in the field. In the long run, you will also gain insight into and work with other areas that the unit is responsible for, such as customer/supplier, cash, and controlling.
The responsibilities also include handling/registration in several systems, written and oral contact with Swedish and foreign customers. The work involves close collaboration with colleagues in the Finance and Controlling unit as well as other colleagues in the organization.
There is a strive at the unit to work broadly across several areas, so you should feel comfortable working in several different processes and systems.
We are looking for someone who has:
- an academic degree in economics or equivalent.
- at least five years of experience in qualified accounting work within a government agency.
- experience in preparing or coordinating annual reports for government agencies.
- good knowledge of FÅB, FBF, and Statskontoret's regulations.
- experience working in an ERP system.
- good collaboration skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
Who are you?
It is meritorious if you have completed the state's controller training, have experience in preparing budget foundations and economic management in the state. Furthermore, it is meritorious if you have experience in fee-funded operations and experience with Qlik Sense or similar analysis tools, as well as experience in process development and internal management and control.
We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who enjoys working in cross-functional teams together with accountants, controllers, HR specialists, lawyers, and business representatives. You are analytical and can translate complex economic information into clear decision support materials with an understanding of the connections between operations, economics, and agency management. The role requires you to work independently, be meticulous and quality-conscious, and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver results within given timeframes. You express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and can communicate economic issues in a pedagogical and business-adapted manner. Furthermore, you contribute to a trusting working climate and build good relationships both within and outside your own operations.

The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Stockholm or Söderhamn. We apply a six-month probation period.
