General Pension is one of the Swedish Pension Authority's largest departments, with approximately 400 employees located in 8 cities from Luleå in the north to Halmstad in the south.

The General Pension Affairs department is responsible for securing case handling and managing payments for Sweden's pensioners and pension savers. The mandate also includes ensuring that incorrect payments are not made and combating benefit fraud.

We are now looking for a Team Leader for Gävle.

About the job

Together with other team leaders, you have overall responsibility for the operations within the unit and are part of a management group where you contribute to strategic work. Based on a clear employer role, you have personnel, results, and follow-up responsibility for approximately 20 employees within your area of responsibility and lead the operational work. Furthermore, you are responsible for ensuring that the operations are conducted with high quality, service, efficiency, and cost awareness.

Most of our meetings take place digitally, but physical meetings also occur, which means that travel is part of the role. You will lead change and clearly communicate vision, goals, and values to your employees.

As a manager at the Swedish Pension Authority, you are also responsible for driving active work environment and health work, as well as contributing to creating a developmental workplace. Furthermore, you are responsible for creating conditions through dialogue so that employees can and want to take responsibility for their assignments, goals, and competence development. We are looking for someone who has:

• An academic degree that the employer deems relevant for the position.
• Documented management/leadership experience, preferably several years, within operational activities.
• Experience leading change with the customer in focus.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Management experience with personnel responsibility within a government agency.
• Experience leading a process-driven operation with large case flows.
• Experience with the General Pension benefit.

Good to know

The employment is permanent and full-time with start date as agreed. The location is Gävle. We apply a six-month probation period.

Every year, we pay out approximately 415 billion SEK to 2.3 million pensioners, carry out approximately 911,000 fund swaps, and send out 8 million orange envelopes.
