We are now looking for a communicator who wants to help develop communication within our operations and contribute to clear, coordinated, and accessible communication.

The workplace is located at Magasinsplan 19 in central Gävle, just a stone's throw from the central station. Here, you will work together with four fellow communicators in a dedicated and development-oriented work group.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you an engaged and experienced communicator who thrives in a role close to operations, involving both strategic and operational work? Then this might be the job for you.

As a communicator within Välfärd Gävle (Welfare Gävle), you work closely with management, managers, and operations within areas such as individual and family care, elderly care, disability support, the labor market, and adult education. You provide qualified communication support and are responsible for communication related to projects, activities, change management, and development initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing communication needs and making communicative assessments
• Formulating messages and tailoring content to target audiences
• Planning, implementing, and following up on communication efforts
• Working with both internal and external communication
• Coordinating and driving communication activities across various channels
• Contributing to long-term and integrated communication work
• Providing support in change communication and, when necessary, crisis communication

You will work both strategically and operationally, needing to switch between long-term planning and rapid delivery when conditions change.

You will collaborate closely with other communicators, the communication manager, central communication functions, and experts within various operational areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

• A university degree in communication or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent
• Several years of experience in qualified communication work
• Experience working with both strategic and operational communication
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
• Experience working with relevant communication tools and systems

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience from the public sector or politically governed organizations
• Experience with change communication in larger organizations
• Experience with media contacts and crisis communication

To succeed in this role, you need to be structured and able to organize and prioritize your work effectively. You work according to a clear process, meet deadlines, and complete what you start.

You are relationship-building and find it easy to collaborate with different target groups and professions. Through your communication style, you build trusting relationships and contribute to good cooperation.

Furthermore, you are flexible and adapt easily to changed conditions. You see opportunities in changes and can quickly switch between different tasks and perspectives.

As a person, you are driven, quality-conscious, and have strong strategic skills. You can see the big picture while keeping an eye on details and audience adaptation.
