The Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV) is Sweden's authority for intellectual property, responsible for patents, trademarks, and designs. We examine and register rights and work to increase knowledge about intellectual assets and their importance for innovation and business. Our mission is to contribute to Sweden's growth and competitiveness by helping companies, innovators, and organizations protect and develop their ideas. We are also the supervisory authority for the collective management of copyright and operate in close cooperation with both national and international actors. We are seeking reinforcement primarily in routine accounting, for year-end closing, and for reporting to the state. The Finance Unit also handles customer, supplier, and fixed asset processes, as well as certain payroll-related tasks, payments of public law fees, and controlling issues.

Responsibilities

You are expected to work broadly within the accounting process, follow our internal guidelines and decisions, and take into account laws and regulations in the field. In the long run, you will also gain insight into and work with other areas that the unit is responsible for, such as customer/supplier, cash, and controlling.

The responsibilities also include handling/registration in several systems, written and oral contact with Swedish and foreign customers. The work involves close collaboration with colleagues in the Finance Unit as well as other colleagues in the organization.

There is a strive on the unit to work broadly across several areas, so you should feel comfortable working in several different systems.

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university education or equivalent education with an economic focus, or equivalent as assessed by the employer
• at least 3 years of current experience in accounting
• good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• good knowledge of the Office package, especially Word and Excel

It is meritorious if you have worked with similar tasks in the public sector, as well as documented current experience working in ERP (UBW Agresso) and/or Visma Proceedo.

Meeting deadlines and achieving set goals is second nature to you. Since the role involves many contacts within and outside the organization, you need to be customer-oriented, service-focused, and trustworthy.

You are expected to be able to initiate and drive issues from start to finish. Therefore, you also need to be responsible, receptive, and good at collaborating. You need to be unpretentious when it comes to tasks, i.e., have the ability to quickly adapt and help colleagues in changed circumstances or during peak workloads.

The position is a permanent full-time position with placement in Stockholm or Söderhamn. We apply a six-month probation period.
