We are looking for you who want a meaningful job as a personal assistant and who enjoy working closely with a child and her family. With us, you will become an important part of a secure team around Freja. We are looking for you who want to work on an hourly basis or on a fixed part-time basis of 80%, with the possibility of more shifts if needed.

About Freja

Freja is 9 years old and lives in Påvelund with her family. She has extensive disabilities and needs help with everything in everyday life – but her life is full of joy, warmth, and closeness. She loves warm baths, when someone sings loudly to her (off-key singing is perfectly fine), feeling the sun on her face, and receiving lots of closeness. Some days are more demanding, and then your most important task is to help Freja relax and feel as good as possible.

On weekdays, Freja attends an adapted school where she has the school's assistants. If you work the afternoon shift, you will meet her after school and ride with her on the school bus home. Double assistance occurs almost all waking hours, so you often work together with a colleague and sometimes with one of Freja's parents.

About the position / Working hours

Morning shifts during weekdays start at our home in Västra Frölunda and end at the school. During the spring, Freja attends school in Högsbo, near Axel Dahlströms torg.

During weeks 28-31, we mostly run long shifts 08:00-21:00/09:00-22:00 or 22:00-09:00.

After that, we switch to the autumn schedule, where work shifts are adapted to school hours.

The position involves working every other weekend.

For Freja, continuity and security are crucial, and it takes time to learn her needs and signals. We are therefore looking for you who want a long-term job – either on an hourly basis or on a fixed contract.

You

• are responsible, secure, and stress-resistant
• have a warm and empathetic manner
• can handle physical tasks (lifting, pilates ball, and sitting with Freja on your lap)
• enjoy working closely with children
• speak and understand Swedish fluently, as you will interpret Freja to her surroundings
• are non-smoking

Extra bonus if you have a driver's license, experience in personal assistance, with children, and/or epilepsy – but the right attitude and personal chemistry count for everything!

The position starts as an hourly employment with the possibility of transitioning to a fixed-term employment as long as the assistance assignment lasts, if we get along, with a work load of 80%. Or if you want to be hourly and step in as needed.
