We are looking for a special needs educator who wants to be part of the school of the future. Here, you will contribute every day to all students' development towards educational goals and support colleagues or the entire work team. Here, we work primarily for others, but also for each other, and our common goal is to ensure that the school functions as well as possible for all students.

Approximately 800 students from grade 4 to 9 attend Norrstrandsskolan. The school is centrally located in Norrstrand, close to Sundsta Idrottshus. Norrstrandsskolan has offered a music profile for 30 years. At our school, we focus heavily on promoting and preventive work regarding student health. We work according to the hypothesis: if you feel good, you learn well, and then you feel better. We want the adults and students at the school to have the prerequisites for creating trusting relationships. We are convinced that good relationships are the foundation for our students' success in school. We hold the attitude that all students do their best if they can. Responsibilities

As a special needs educator/teacher at Norrstrandsskolan, you will be part of the school's student health team, where collegial learning and cooperation between the student health professions are in focus. Close cooperation between the student health team, teachers, and other colleagues is a basic prerequisite in our work, where the students come first. The Student Health Team (EHT) includes, among others, a special needs educator and a special teacher, with whom you will collaborate closely. We now need to expand the team with a special needs educator/teacher.

You will conduct mapping, support, and documentation regarding students in need of adaptations and special support within your work team. The assignment includes teaching students in various configurations in collaboration with the school's other teachers, such as in whole classes, smaller teaching groups, and individually. You are expected to play an active role in the school's promoting and preventive student health work, with a focus on accessible learning environments and a language- and knowledge-developing approach.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with a degree in special education. We are also interested in you if you have a degree as a special teacher. You who are studying to become a special needs educator or special teacher and have not yet completed your education are also of interest. As a person, we see that you are self-reliant and take responsibility for driving your work forward in a structured manner. You work in a goal- and result-oriented way and have a clear focus on students' development and goal achievement. You are relationship-building and have an easy time building trusting collaborations with both students, guardians, and colleagues. Furthermore, you have good pedagogical insight and the ability to adapt your working methods based on students' different needs. You are clear in your communication and have a structured work style that contributes to security and quality in the operations. The position is subject to the necessary decisions being made.
