Welcome to one of our four school areas: Lärcenter, Skived, Ullerud, and Grossbol.

Description

Do you want to help create the best conditions for students' learning, development, and hope for the future? We are now looking for an engaged special needs teacher who wants to contribute to a safe, inclusive, and developmental school environment in our adapted primary school.

Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher, you are part of a work team that works with students in need of adaptations and special support. The number of students and grades vary based on current needs.

You will work on creating an inclusive and safe learning environment where students are given the conditions to develop as much as possible. Students should, to the greatest extent possible and based on individual needs, participate in teaching in the regular class, which is done in close collaboration with teaching teachers and other colleagues.

In the role, you will:

  • Plan, implement, and adapt teaching based on students' individual needs.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and developmental learning environment.
  • Strengthen students' independence, participation, and confidence in their own abilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other colleagues to give students the best possible conditions for development.

As a special needs teacher, you are also a support for colleagues through guidance and collaboration. You actively participate in the development of teaching and operations, conduct assessments together with other staff, and collaborate with guardians and external agencies. In the role, you also contribute to the school's continued development work and collegial learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a special needs teacher with a focus on intellectual disability and who have experience working in adapted primary school.

You are confident in your professional role and have an inclusive and solution-focused approach. You see opportunities rather than obstacles and have the ability to adapt teaching, support, and interaction based on each student's needs. You combine independence with good collaboration skills and actively contribute to a positive and developmental work climate.

We value that you:

  • Have a good ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
  • Work solution-focused with the student's best interest at the center.
  • Are well acquainted with the school's governing documents.
  • Have the ability to guide and inspire colleagues in special educational needs issues.
  • See collaboration and collegial learning as a natural part of the school's development.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Conditions

Permanent position 100%. We may apply a probationary period upon hiring.

We work with continuous selection and interviews, which means that the recruitment process may begin before the application period has ended.

If you are offered employment within preschool, school, and youth and leisure activities, you are required by the School Act to show an extract from the criminal record. You order the extract yourself via the Police Authority's website.

Welcome with your application! We want you to send your application via our recruitment tool on our website. Information on how we handle your personal data can be found here. If for some reason you cannot apply so (e.g., protected identity), please contact the advertisement's contact person for an alternative path. We decline calls from staffing and recruitment agencies as well as sellers of job advertisements.
