The school offers excellent learning environments, including a movement room, music room, art/technology room, and craft rooms.

The school's core values are built on four keywords: together, safety, knowledge, and joy. These values are created by everyone involved in the school and strive to be applied in both conversations with students, staff, and guardians, as well as in practical actions. Kvarnbergsskolan is known for its relaxed "we-feeling," where the keyword "together" is strongly rooted in the operations. We are now looking for a new special needs teacher to join our wonderful, competent, and engaged student health team at Kvarnbergsskolan. We welcome your application!

Responsibilities

You should be able to meet with guardians and lead meetings both together with colleagues and independently. Experience with or training in working with children with various functional variations is meritorious. The position includes mentoring teachers and supporting the school's various pedagogical work groups from a special educational perspective.

You want to drive active improvement work regarding how we organize teaching so that all students' needs are met. You are well-read and interested in pedagogical research and are generous in sharing your knowledge with others.

As a person, you need to have a good ability to plan and structure by setting clear goals for teaching and support measures based on students' individual needs, and to follow up on results continuously. You should understand how students learn in different ways and adapt methods according to their unique needs, strengths, and difficulties, as well as analyze and improve your own teaching based on student development and feedback. You should have a good ability to motivate students to overcome challenges and dare to try new things. You take initiative and make decisions to drive the work forward, even in complex or difficult situations.
