Job Description

As a teacher at Hammarlundens Upper Secondary School, you will serve as a substitute teacher for the entire school and teach in several classes based on your subject qualifications. You will also, together with a colleague, act as a mentor in one of our classes. In your mentor role, you are expected to take significant responsibility for the students' social situation and academic development. You will be part of one of the school's work teams, where collegial learning is the focus, and collaboration between teachers in work and subject teams is a fundamental prerequisite. As a teacher at Hammarlundens School, you are expected to have an active role in promoting and preventive student health work, focusing on accessible learning environments of a physical, pedagogical, and social nature, as well as work with school attendance.

Your teaching is characterized by a language- and knowledge-developing approach, and you see the opportunity for support and stimulation for all students in teaching as a matter of course. You have the ability to adapt teaching to the group's needs through leadership and stimulation, as well as additional adjustments.

You are an active and non-hierarchical leader who prefers collaborative work where collegial learning is central. You apply a student-centered approach and see student participation in their own learning as a matter of course.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are qualified and certified as a teacher in one of the core subjects of the compulsory school (Swedish, Mathematics, English) for grades 7–9.

You should be flexible, have good collaboration skills, and a positive attitude. You should be good at building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians, and have a strong interest in the learning of children and young people.

Personal suitability will be given great weight. Interviews may take place before the application deadline, and employment is ongoing.

Employment Terms

• Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 2026-08-10 to 2027-06-16 with the possibility of extension (approx. 10 months).

A police certificate (extract from the criminal record) according to the Education Act will be required upon offer of employment. Appointment is subject to necessary decisions being made.
