About the Role

Are you an innovative and development-oriented craft teacher passionate about improving education? Are you skilled at identifying strengths in students and colleagues? Then you might be the perfect addition to our team at the Western School Area. Here, you will help develop our craft education with a focus on creativity and creation, working alongside our teacher in wood and metal crafts.

Responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for planning, leading, and teaching textile crafts for grades 3–6 in both regular and adapted primary schools. You will teach at our three schools: Höglundaskolan, Nysäter skola, and Svanskog skola, with the majority of teaching taking place at Höglundaskolan.

You excel at adapting your teaching methods to suit different grade levels and students' varying knowledge levels and prerequisites. You bring joy and commitment to the subject, as well as to your collaboration with students and colleagues. As a teacher, you are responsible for creating a positive and creative learning environment where students feel curiosity and a desire to learn, both now and in the future. Your goal is to provide safe, inspiring, and challenging education for the students.

Qualifications

You are:

• A confident leader who can adapt your leadership style to the situation in the classroom and see the bigger picture of a student's school life.
• Receptive and possess strong collaborative skills.
• Confident, structured, responsible, and clear in your leadership.
• Relationship-building, maintaining good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians.
• Inspirational and able to motivate your students.
• Engaged, positive, and deeply interested in the knowledge development of each individual student.
• Accustomed to working independently and making decisions, but also capable of collaborating effectively in teams.

Your personal qualities are important to us, and we will place significant emphasis on them during the recruitment process.

Previous experience as a textile crafts teacher is considered an advantage.

Conditions
