About the position

We are now looking for a staff member for a varied and meaningful role where you will work both in the after-school care center and as a PE teacher. The position is split 50/50 between after-school care and teaching in Physical Education and Health for grades 2 and 3.

Your responsibilities

In the after-school care center: You plan, implement, and develop activities based on the curriculum and the students' needs. You contribute to a meaningful leisure time where creativity, security, and social development are in focus. Together with colleagues, you also plan and conduct recess activities that promote movement and community.

As a PE teacher: You are responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching in Physical Education and Health. You create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment, both indoors and in our beautiful outdoor areas, where all students have the opportunity to develop joy of movement, cooperation skills, and a healthy lifestyle.

You are part of a team where collaboration, development, and the best interests of the student are always in focus. You are expected to be involved in systematic quality work and contribute to developing both the after-school care activities and the PE teaching.

Requirements and merits

We are looking for you who have a pedagogical degree with a focus on after-school care and are qualified to teach Physical Education and Health. We expect you to stand firmly in the school's value base and be able to implement the curriculum with high quality.

You are a secure and clear leader who builds good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have an inclusive approach and the ability to adapt teaching and activities based on students' different needs and conditions.

Meritorious:

• Experience working in after-school care, school, or teaching in Physical Education and Health.
• Ability to analyze and reflect on your own efforts.

At Bärstadsskolan, we are a training school, and we expect you to undergo the supervisor training at Karlstad University (KAU) if you have not already done so.
