About the workplace

SG/Södra Viken is strongly associated with the forestry and transport industries in Värmland. Many professionals in these sectors have received their basic education with us. The school, which was founded in 1947, is currently run by Sunne Municipality. We offer two upper secondary programs: The Natural Resource Program (focus on forestry) and the Vehicle and Transport Program (focus on transport). We also have an adapted upper secondary school with the programs Forest, Land and Animals, and Vehicle Care and Cargo Handling.

We conduct education in classrooms, in the forest, and on the roads. With modern facilities and a well-updated fleet of machinery, we enable modern, top-level education.

Your responsibilities

You will teach both practically and theoretically within the Vehicle and Transport Program. As a teacher with us, you will have significant responsibility for your students' development and mentorship.

Who you are

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in heavy-duty traffic, preferably with experience in timber transport.
• A genuine interest in working with young people and a willingness to share your knowledge.
• Good knowledge of current laws and regulations in traffic.
• Good computer skills.
• The ability to collaborate effectively in both large and small groups.
• A learning mindset – you are eager to learn yourself and support others in their learning.
• A positive and flexible personality.

Conditions

Start date by agreement. The position involves a probationary period. Before employment can commence, a valid extract from the police record of criminal convictions must be presented. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, but may also take place after the summer holiday period.
