At Ilandaskolan, we are currently looking for a mathematics teacher for grades 7–9 who wants to play a key role in students' development and have the opportunity to make a difference in their lives.

Ilandaskolan is a secondary school and a special needs school with approximately 540 students in grades 7 to 9. The school is located by Ilandatjärn, close to Stodeneskogen and Hertzöga IP. At our school, students and staff are organized into four work teams, one for each grade level and one for the special needs school. We dedicate significant time and effort to making the school welcoming and stimulating for everyone. We focus on preventive and promoting student health work.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher for grades 7–9, your main task is to develop students' knowledge and skills based on the curriculum and each student's individual needs and prerequisites. You plan the teaching by setting goals, choosing methods and materials, and preparing lessons. Together with the students, you evaluate the teaching to constantly strive to improve the teaching, student learning, and your own professional development.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teaching license and eligibility to teach mathematics in grades 7–9.

You have a good understanding of the school's governing documents and a well-developed didactic and pedagogical ability. In your work, you are both independent and structured, and you lead the teaching in a clear way to create safety, study peace, and a positive learning environment.

You are flexible in your working methods and adapt the teaching to the students' needs. With your social skills and good cooperation ability, you contribute to good collaboration with colleagues, while maintaining a relationship-building approach in meetings with students and guardians.

In the classroom, you exercise clear and secure leadership and have well-developed leadership skills. You have good teaching ability in the subject and are driven by a commitment to develop both your own teaching and the operations as a whole.
