You will join a fantastic team at Youth Activities, passionate about improving the living conditions for children and young people and making real change. You will become part of the Department of Culture and Leisure – the department with a big heart and high trust in its employees.

What can we offer you?
The assignment involves conducting quality youth activities as well as area-based work in Falköping Municipality.
You are expected to contribute to the municipality's collective work on safety issues for children and young people, as well as work on their living conditions. You will contribute to developing the department's work with youth democracy and the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. You work independently but in close collaboration with the target group and relevant actors, both internally and externally. You work during daytime, evenings, and on some weekends.
Who are we?
Youth Activities is a collective name for all our operations focusing on children and young people's leisure time. This includes 5 leisure centers, a Youth House, area-based work, safety work, youth participation, events, group activities, and holiday activities. We work on an area-based basis, in close cooperation with local actors. We work according to European principles and guidelines for local open leisure and youth activities, and we are part of the KEKS network – quality and competence in collaboration.
What are we looking for in you?
To succeed in the role of Leisure Leader, you are positive, creative, and solution-oriented. Furthermore, you are engaged and relationship-building, with the ability to connect with young people in a simple and natural way. You enjoy working in an environment that is varied and challenging, and you are passionate about supporting and encouraging young people's ideas. You are structured and have the ability to organize things both alone and together with colleagues and the target group.
Your ability to collaborate is good, and you thrive in cooperation, both within your own work group and with external contacts. Since we are expected to create collaborations within and outside municipal operations, it is important that you are professional in your role and can act as an ambassador for the activity and for Falköping Municipality, as well as being a good networker.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
You should be driven by the desire to support young people in their personal and social development.
You should:
- have a post-secondary education with a focus on social work, pedagogy, or another field deemed suitable by the employer
- have experience in similar work, in open and/or targeted youth activities
- have experience leading various types of groups/networks
- have experience in norm-critical work, gender equality, and participation
- have experience creating music, events, and stage performances with and for young people
- Hold a valid driver's license
Information
If offered employment, you must provide a current extract from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record.
