We are looking for a personal assistant for one of our clients, where you will become a secure part of his daily life. Our client is a 17-year-old boy with autism seeking an assistant for a long-term assignment. He is happy, curious, and inquisitive. He enjoys calm environments, preferably walks and outings in nature. He also likes playing video games and using his iPad, building Lego, crafting, writing, painting, and watching movies. The position involves hourly employment but may transition into a permanent position in the future with supervisory responsibilities. As an assistant, you will be helpful in his daily life by helping him understand his surroundings and environment, as well as communicating with others. Hygiene and care are part of your duties. It is important for the client and his family that you view this assignment as long-term, as the onboarding period for new personnel can be lengthy. It is a great advantage if you know PECS (TAKK) and have experience with challenging behavior.

You will be offered friendly colleagues and an active client who truly appreciates his assistants. You will receive individualized introduction/training in all aspects regarding the client's support needs and routines.

The Assistant's Role and Experience

It is good if you, as a job seeker, are calm but active. You need to handle both stress and some "downtime," as the client sometimes needs personal time, but requires help with active supervision and support.

As a person, you need to be meticulous, responsible, sensitive, proactive, and positive. It is very important to be calm, low-affective, creative, and orderly. If you have an interest in technology, it is a plus.

You need to be flexible regarding working hours because we in the work group solve staffing if someone gets sick or goes on vacation – we support our client and each other.

Desirable Experience

• Enjoy being outdoors in nature.
• Worked as a personal assistant or in a residential setting.
• Experience with challenging behavior.
• Experience with PECS (TAKK).
• Fluent in Swedish.

Working Hours/Employment Degree

• Hourly – Unstaffed shifts as well as extra shifts if needed during the regular assistant's sick leave and vacation.
• Start immediately.
• Working hours are scheduled for afternoons, evenings, weekends, and school holidays.

• We apply salary according to Fremia Collective Agreement.
