We are looking for you to take the next step in your career and take on the role of leader for a group of 12 railway project designers in Gothenburg, Varberg, and Halmstad. As a group leader, you will also work actively in assignments and develop the business as part of the management group for the Business Unit Railway.

Norconsult's railway competence consists of approximately 50 highly qualified consultants from Gävle in the north to Malmö in the south. Our portfolio of assignments includes everything from ERTMS design to BEST assignments and qualified investigations. We have a stable order book and several important framework agreements with the Swedish Transport Administration, Traffic Administration, Traffic Authorities, and municipalities across Sweden.

As a group leader within railway, you lead an engaged and competent group of approximately 12 consultants with broad experience. Together with the department manager, you are responsible for resource planning, competence development, as well as sales and personnel matters within the group.

Nationally, we have a well-functioning collaboration where we help each other with strategic work, tender management, and resource coordination, with the goal always being the right consultant in the right assignment nationwide. Parallel to the group leader role, you will also have the opportunity to continue developing technically in assignments, primarily as project manager or technical lead.

Your Profile

You have a strong interest in track and railway issues, are educated as a civil engineer or university level engineer, or have practically acquired equivalent experience. Solid knowledge of railway design, 5–10 years, and at least 3 years of leadership experience.

You are a positive and open person driven by a strong interest in employee development and the growth of our business. For us, it is important that you are service-oriented, have initiative, and are collaborative. You are independent and express yourself well both verbally and in writing. Together with your colleagues, you find the best solutions for Norconsult and our customers. Meritorious is experience in track, ground, or signaling technology, review experience, or experience working in the contracting industry.
