The Project Unit within the Sector of Social and Physical Planning is responsible for executing construction and infrastructure projects, as well as managing local traffic regulations, permits, and consultations on traffic matters. The unit consists of 16 employees, including project managers, traffic engineers, and an administrator.

Responsibilities

The role involves ensuring that the projects you manage best meet Lerum Municipality's needs within the specified frameworks for time, economy, and quality, in accordance with laws, regulations, governing documents, and established decisions.

As a project manager, you work according to Lerum Municipality's project model and associated processes, reporting continuously to project owners, portfolios, and steering groups as needed.

The tasks vary depending on the nature of the project but include planning, designing, and executing projects by:

• Acting as the client and representative
• Procuring consultants according to existing framework agreements
• Conducting investigations and preliminary studies
• Preparing tender documents for contractor procurement
• Applying for necessary permits
• Creating and revising project plans, budgets, and schedules
• Steering projects towards set goals regarding time, economy, and quality
• Informing internally about projects
• Participating in various internal and external meetings
• Project administration (Antura, Platina, Proceedo)
• Final reporting, closing, and handing over to the client and recipient

In the role of project manager, you need to stay updated in the field through environmental scanning to propose development opportunities within the different areas of operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree as a university engineer or civil engineer in construction and infrastructure, and several years of documented work experience in construction and infrastructure as a project manager, site manager, or design manager.

You must have a valid B driving license and documented good knowledge of contract law.

It is meritorious if you have previously worked in public administration and have good knowledge of LOU (Public Procurement Act), BAS-U, and BAS-P.
