Are you someone who thrives when no two days are alike? Do you have experience from the construction, civil engineering, or contracting industry and enjoy combining structure, problem-solving, and business acumen in your daily work?
Sodajo is currently recruiting on behalf of GEO-Group for a business-oriented Project Manager who wants to contribute in a key role with significant responsibility and impact. Here, you will have the opportunity to work closely with operations, customers, and management while becoming a vital part of the company's continued growth journey.
This is a role for you who appreciate freedom under responsibility, enjoy making things happen, and are motivated by solving problems before they arise.
Information about the position
The recruitment process is handled by Sodajo, but you will be employed directly by GEO-Group. Questions regarding the position should be directed to the responsible recruiter.
In the role of Project Manager, you will become a central part of GEO-Group's continued development. The role has evolved from a concrete operational need where you will serve as a close support to the CEO and contribute to creating even better structure, customer proximity, and project control.
You will work broadly across the business and be involved in everything from customer dialogues, planning, and follow-up to resource management, economics, and administration. The role suits you who thrive in an operationally close environment where you have the opportunity to influence, make decisions, and create conditions for both customers and colleagues to succeed.
You will become part of a company with approximately 20 employees working within geotechnics, core drilling, and well drilling. The operations are characterized by short decision paths, strong team spirit, and an entrepreneurial spirit that remains alive despite the company being part of a larger corporate group. Here, we value individuals who take initiative, find solutions, and want to contribute to the company's continued growth.
What we offer
- A key role with significant impact on the future development of the business
- The opportunity to work closely with management and participate in strategic decisions
- A varied job where project management, customer relations, and business development meet
- An entrepreneurial environment with short decision paths and great personal responsibility
- Opportunity to grow together with a company that has clear growth ambitions
- A tight-knit team where people stay for a long time and help each other when needed
Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will become a central part of daily operations and be responsible for creating structure, progress, and good communication between customers, projects, and field personnel. You will work with project control, resource planning, customer dialogue, follow-up, and administration while acting as operational support to the business.
The role involves great variation. One day you might participate in customer meetings, plan upcoming projects, and follow up on economics, while the next day is about solving practical challenges in the field, coordinating resources, booking transports, handling orders, or ensuring that projects have the right conditions to be carried out.
You will be involved in the various stages of projects, from planning and initiation to follow-up and closure. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to develop customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and contribute to the company's continued development.
We are looking for you who
- Have experience of project management within construction, civil engineering, contracting, or similar operations
- Understand how projects work out in production and thrive close to operations
- Have good administrative skills and can create structure in a daily life with many parallel activities
- Are computer literate and feel comfortable with the Office package and other business systems
- Have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Hold a valid B-driver's license
It is meritorious if you have experience in contracting operations, procurement, economic follow-up, customer responsibility, or personnel management. We would prefer that you come from a practical background where you have worked your way up through the business and gained an understanding of both production, people, and business.
Personal qualities
Your personal qualities are crucial for how well you succeed in the role. We are looking for you who are solution-oriented, proactive, and enjoy taking responsibility. You have an easy time building relationships, communicating with different types of people, and maintaining calm even when the pace is fast.
Furthermore, we see that you are a person who appreciates variation and is motivated by getting things to work. You are structured without being rigid, business-minded without losing the human perspective, and humble enough to help out where needed.
Above all, we are looking for you who enjoy being part of the operations, see opportunities where others see obstacles, and want to contribute to GEO-Group's continued development!
