On behalf of our client, Sibe Construction is looking for an experienced estimator in civil engineering and groundwork for a well-established and family-oriented construction company just south of Gothenburg.

About the role

This is a broad and production-oriented role where you will have a central and important function in the operations. You will independently drive the bidding process from start to finish and work closely with production, management, customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Your main tasks include:

• Preparing bids and estimates for civil engineering and groundwork projects
• Purchasing and tendering for subcontractors and suppliers
• Organizing and administering bid and quotation processes
• Contract management and contractual issues
• Participating in project planning and follow-up
• Supporting production with economic and technical matters

The projects vary from smaller contracts to larger and more complex infrastructure projects, creating a varied and developmental daily routine.

We are looking for you who

• Have several years of experience in estimating within civil engineering and groundwork.
• Have good knowledge of contract and procurement law, as well as AMA, MER, and RA Anläggning standards.
• Have experience from construction production and understand the operations on-site.
• Are accustomed to working in estimation software, such as BidCon.
• Are comfortable working in the Office suite and have particularly good skills in Excel, as a large part of the estimating and follow-up work takes place there.
• Speak and write Swedish fluently.

It is an advantage if you also have experience in economics, contract management, and scheduling, as well as a technical education in construction, groundworks, or civil engineering.
