About our workplace
Approximately 55 employees work here, including 27 assistance case managers. The unit is led by an area manager and two unit managers. We provide assistance to just over 1,800 people, primarily under the Social Services Act. We also have several ongoing development projects at the unit.

Your role
As an assistance case manager within elderly care, you investigate and make decisions regarding assistance for persons aged 65 and older, primarily under the Social Services Act, but also under the National Transport for Persons with Disabilities Act and the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS). Follow-up of measures is also an important part of the work. The role requires great sensitivity to the needs of the elderly and involves close collaboration with colleagues and cooperation with other units and professions.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for you who have:
- A degree in Social Work with a focus on elderly care and disabilities
Or:
- A degree in Social Work and experience working with public authority tasks within elderly care
You must also have:
- Documented professional experience as an assistance case manager with good references and good knowledge of current legislation
- Good knowledge of the Office package.
We consider it a merit if you are proficient in Stockholm City's documentation system "Paraplyet" and/or the region's computer system "Lifecare".

As a person, you adapt easily to changing circumstances and have pedagogical skills, adapting your way of communicating your message to the recipient. To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes for Stockholm City, you must show an extract from the criminal record register. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
The Elderly Care Department is responsible for assistance case management and various measures that enable elderly people to have their care needs met. This includes care and nursing homes, service houses, support for relatives, day activities, and home help services. The administration applies full-time as the norm, and you will be employed within Kungsholmen Elderly Care.
