Welcome to us

Preschool Area 1 consists of 11 preschools in Traneberg, Ulvsunda, Johannesfred, Minneberg, Mariehäll, and Bällsta. The area is led by a principal and four assistant principals, enabling close leadership. Support is also provided by two special education teachers. The unit comprises approximately 130 employees and 600 children, and we are now looking for childcare assistants (barnskötare) for some of our preschools. We are looking for you who have commitment and experience working in a preschool. You will be employed by Preschool Area 1, and your placement may change based on operational needs.

All our preschools are characterized by an open, trust-based preschool environment. Children's participation and influence over the operation are important to us. Our pedagogical activities are based on caring learning and children's joyful play.

Your role

As a childcare assistant:

  • You contribute to the smooth functioning of daily life at the preschool, ensuring that care and daily pedagogical work are based on children's participation and choices.
  • You collaborate with other colleagues at the preschool to create a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for each child and the entire group.
  • You participate in pedagogical development work and documentation according to the preschool curriculum and operational goals.
  • You are engaged and participate actively in planning and evaluating the work.
  • You contribute to parent meetings and development talks.
  • You are engaged, child-focused, and service-oriented in daily contacts with guardians.

The framework for the preschool's opening hours is 06:30–18:30, and opening/closing duties may occur in your work schedule. You are also required to attend monthly staff meetings (APT) until 18:30.

Your competence and experience

  • You must have a secondary education within the nursing program, child and youth, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • You have documented multi-year experience working as a childcare assistant and experience with documentation.
  • Computer proficiency and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, are required.
  • We will place great emphasis on your competence, experience, and personal qualities.
  • As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and responsible.
  • Your focus on children is clear, and you have a positive attitude towards your work, your team, and the entire preschool, seeing collaboration between departments as a great asset.
  • You have a good ability to create professional relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians.
  • You collaborate with children, colleagues, and guardians in a listening and smooth manner, listening, communicating, and handling conflicts constructively.

To work in our preschools, you must present an extract from the Police's criminal record and suspicion register. You order this extract yourself, and it must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
