PE Teacher for Gnesta Municipality

The position is located within the Child and Education Administration. We operate statutory activities in the form of preschool, comprehensive school, adapted comprehensive school, and student health services. The administration's scope also includes cultural schools, youth club activities, open preschool, and the municipality's food service unit. The administration works on behalf of the Child and Education Board.

Your Workplaces

Welandersborg School is a unified F-6 comprehensive school with approximately 140 students. The school is located just outside the Björnlunda community, with proximity to forests and a preschool. A bus stop is located right outside the school with connections to Gnesta or Flen.

Kvarnbackaskolan is an F-6 comprehensive school with approximately 60 students in age-integrated classes. The school is located in Stjärnhov with proximity to forests, and a preschool is also located in the same building. A bus station is nearby with connections to Gnesta or Flen.

The proximity to the forest offers great opportunities for outdoor activities. Our schools are two exciting workplaces with many fun challenges and rewarding interactions every day, where competent, engaged, and helpful employees work with a strong focus on the students.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone with a strong interest and commitment to movement and health. You will teach and lead physical education lessons at both of our schools and be responsible for outdoor days and themed days within movement and health.

The role includes planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching at both group and individual levels in collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Certified teacher with eligibility to teach Physical Education and Health.
• A confident and inspiring educator who sees each student's unique prerequisites and is committed to creating a learning environment where everyone can succeed.
• Good understanding of national curricula and guidelines.
• Collaborative, solution-focused, and receptive with good communication skills.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Extract from the police criminal record.
